HERO Financing does not look at your credit score to determine if you are eligible for a loan. Instead, the look at the equity in your home to see how much financing you can get.
HERO Financing is paid back through your property taxes. When you receive your property tax bill, you will see a line item on it for the HERO financing. If your mortgage company pays your taxes through an escrow account, they will adjust your escrow payment accordingly.
HERO Financing is an affordable way to make energy-efficient upgrades to your home. Although the interest rate can vary, it is generally lower than the interest rate on a credit card.
